The initial PS3 60gb console played PS2 games, after that the functionality just wasn't included. Considering, according to an Amazon poll, 94% of gamers are going for the PS4 over the Xbox One (prior to the supposed week-long poll being pulled after 2 days) makes it more likely that the Xbox One will fail.

lol it will fail big time if it dosent play ps3 games they basicly just said its crap i mean ps2 played ps1 games ps3 played ps2 wouldent that mean ps4 should play ps3 if it dosent they basicly say its not a ps system its just some piece of crap they made on the fly to try and rip people off

Wii U will win with low price & no subscription fee & backward compatibility & the most exclusives.

Im a playstation fan so i dont think it will fail, i do agree it is possible to fail but only on reasons 1 and 2. The ps4 will have the same psn but we will have to start payin ps+ to play online and that money we are are paying is going to new security. And as for hardware i dont think thats a problem becuase it isnt out yet so they could make it with better hardware n evan if they dont it will still take a hell of a lot to overload it. But evan with 1 n 2 as problems its still way better than the xbox 1 in graphics and what i would call being a better system for pure gaming

I feel that Xbox is taking a bad turn. No backwards compatibility, Sharing games with friends for a fee, It has to be connected to the internet, but it doesn't.....but it does....but it doesn't. You have to have the Kinect plugged in at all times. Don't even get me started on the cable guide aspect. That was a bad turn especially since 51% of America only has cable. Dumb dumb dumb. They gave Sony the advantage now. Way to go Microsoft.

I agree with the fact that it's still too soon. i was hoping for a 2014-2015 release. I also hate the fact that it's not backward compatible with PS3 games. However, that means that PS3 is still relevant as I mentioned in the article. Sony insists on selling last-gen consoles way after their prime I guess.

its gonna fail, every thing cant be based off internet connection especially the games themselves what about ps3 games will you have to rebuy them on the gaikai network (if thats even possible) since there are no discs. system isnt even out yet and im already disappointed. welp lets see what microsoft and nintendo pull out their ass, nintendo really needs to step it up cause the wii u was a big failure in my eye

Just bought this game and I am a Die Hard MVC2 player..I enjoyed the complexity of controls. when I hit light kick I see a leg moving now I guess its either going to be a leg or an arm..MVC3 Sucks for someone like me.. my kid would probably enjoy it when he gets old enough.. but even then I was a kid playing Street Fighter 2 when it had 6 buttons. To think having 4 to 6 buttons is too complicated is retarded.. We grew up figuring it out why can't this generation of kids figure it out.

Well I don't see the PS4's draw other than it can handle frame rates better and the textures and lighting are bumped up a bit... The PS3 is a very good console and still has much more to give... Depending on a on-line streaming function to play games is not going to allways work because peoples connections are not all the same. The better stick with what works right now and keep people happy.
